Today it’s going to be weird again. If you would mix up The Cramps with Iggy Pop and Sigue Sigue Sputnik, the result would be something like L.U.V. from England. Eccentric, weird and out of one's wits would describe this band that brought out their first EP "L.U.V." in 2010.
Currently the band consists of Claire (Bass), Kasia (Synth), Holly (Drums), Chloe (Guitar) and Jimmy (Vocals) the only male person in this group of beautiful women. They call their music Rock’n Roll and they are damn right with that. Their EP is spiked with five songs.
The song "Californ.I.A.“ could function as a hymn for the new era of Rock'n roll in 2000. This song just sets your teeth on edge and makes you wanna jump up and dance along.
The electronic grounded songs "She‘ s My Fix“ and "Do YA Wanna?“ are just the same, you just can't sit still either. The synth gets turned up. Mister Jimmy voice is simply mind-blowing and it perfectly matches with the backup vocals.
It is not easy to classify L.U.V musically, but I consider this unnecessary anyway, because everybody should listen to them at least once. I am pretty sure that their music will convince many of their listeners.
