afmusic from Duisburg (Germany), when they started to focus solely on digital releases. What then was dismissed as a concept that would not pay off, has now become THE Label for dark music. Well known for quality, permanence and an honest way of dealing with music.
The digital-release-concept is not the only thing that has made them so popular. The most important thing is their ongoing support for new bands. Bands that – without afmusic – might still be stuck in some basement.
Early this year afmusic released a compilation named “Join the dark side, we have the music!”. 19 tracks that show the variety of styles and bands the label represents, without losing their dark roots in the mainstream jungle.
You’ll find everything from "Principe Vallientes’s", indie-pop/shoegaze tunes to Italian darkwavers of "Christine Plays Viola“, to true UK-Gothrock by "Rhombus“ or noisy Brazilian Deathrock "The Knutz“ .With "Rebentisch" and „(((S)))", afmusic even show their love for electronic music – but of course electronics with style!
Afmusic is for people hat are truly interested in supporting the underground scene and want to be sure that every Cent is spent where it is needed.
